Brightline B0 Slim Flight Bag

The B0 SLIM is obviously the thinnest possible configuration of the FLEX SYSTEM. We sometimes call this bag "The iPad bag" because it works as well as an ultra slim computer bag and a personal bag for your day to day life as a Pilot.

The B0 is simply the front of the case lid and the rear modules of the flat zippered lid. It has no definable interior dimensions for storage, as it is just two end caps placed against each other, but the flexible nature of the pieces allows them to fit between the half-inch to three-quarter-inch flat piece modules.

The iPad (or other tablet) can be stored inside the long pocket on the back of the end cap. Or, of course, the space between the two modules has the capacity to store the tablet or a 13" Ultrabook laptop or some Manila folders, or documents, or a magazine or two. So it is possible to carry a slim laptop AND an iPad with this configuration.

The B0 SLIM also serves as an obvious starting point for all other configurations. You can add and remove space as needed by simply adding different Center Sections.

It is possible to carry the B0 using both a handle and a MEN'S STRAP thanks to an ingenious (and patent pending) clip called the "D3 CLIP". A pair of D3 CLIPS attach to two loops on the top (or another set of loops on the side) of the bag. And then the SLIM HANDLE and SHOULDER STRAP attach to the D3 CLIPS. See Gallery for photos.

The FLAT CAP back module offers two flat pockets on the outside and one flat mid-height pocket on the inside surface of the module. The primary exterior pocket is accessed from the top and has a flap that attaches with Velcro. This is where you'll probably keep your iPad (as long as it's not in a thick case), or a manilla folder or two for some documents, or a magazine. There is a second flat panel that covers two-thirds of the outside of the main panel that is divided into two halves: a top panel and a bottom panel.

By default, the bottom edge of the top panel is "tucked" into the top edge of the bottom panel. This allows both panels to act together as a single pocket which works great for sticking a boarding pass or other simple paperwork in here. If the top panel is "unhooked" from the bottom panel, this allows the telescoping tubes of a suitcase or folding trolley to pass through and the panel serves to attach the bag to those tubes (especially when this rear flat top is attached to other modules to form larger bags such as the B2 COMPUTE, B4 SWIFT or B7 FLIGHT). Then, when you are done putting your BrightLine bag on top of your case, you can "tuck" the top panel back into the bottom panel and it will become a sliding pocket again.

The B0 SLIM comes with a SHOULDER STRAP, and also a SLIM HANDLE KIT. (Note that the B0 does not include a MAIN HANDLE - it's not necessary, and there's no place to attach it anyway).

The SLIM HANDLE KIT consists of a SLIM HANDLE, two LOOPS ADAPTERS and four D3 CLIPS. This SLIM HANDLE KIT will be necessary to carry the B0 SLIM as there are no 1-inch quick release clips for the Main Handle or SHOULDER STRAP on the B0. Follow the included instructions and you will be able to install two D3 CLIPS to allow use of BOTH the SLIM HANDLE and the SHOULDER STRAP. (The other two D3 CLIPS are spares).

The BO SLIM does not include a main handle (not necessary). But it does include the SHOULDER STRAP and the SLIM HANDLE KIT.
