ISIDORO GIMÉNEZ, MAESTRO DE PILOTOS
Isidoro Giménez García (Valladolid, 1900– Madrid, 1987), a pre-war military aviator, fought in Morocco's campaign as a machine gun-bomber and became a pilot before the Second Republic. During the Civil War he led the Red Wings squadron, accompanied the First Airmen's Expedition to the USSR and was head of the 50th Independent Natachas Squadron. Later, he was head of the School of El Carmolí (I-16) and led the Hunting Squadron for most of the Battle of the Ebro.
