Meteorología básica para drones

9788428340694

The recent introduction of drones in the professional field is opening up countless applications hitherto unsuspected in the aeronautical environment. The rapidity with which this sector is developing and the obligation to provide and expand such specific knowledge, until now without much interest for aviation in general, have generated the need for this micrometeorology manual.

Basic Meteorology for drones is an essential work to offer future drone pilots a useful, efficient, easy to understand and practical tool so that they can operate their equipment safely.

Basic meteorology for drones is thus essential to offer future drone pilots an effective, simple and intuitive tool to operate their drones with guarantee.

The content of the text has been organized in three main chapters for a better understanding, starting with a general presentation of the basic meteorology thought so that any neophyte can understand the basic principles of air movements. Then, in Chapter 2, the genesis of the movements of the atmosphere is explored in greater detail, especially in the layers closest to the ground. Finally, in Chapter 3, in anticipation of a future opening of urban airspace to drones, a brief basic analysis of wind behaviour in the presence of obstacles within an urban system is carried out.

Its ease of reading and the abundance of illustrations make this book especially aimed at those who are approaching the aeronautical world for the first time. The language used is as accessible and direct as possible, as well as clarifying, always seeking to bring this manual closer to practical reality.

Therefore, both the reader and the student will find in this work a useful guide with all the necessary information and examples to make their own local forecasts in person with accuracy, and thus operate their drones safely.

The author, Francesco Padovano, works as a sailing instructor at SENASA's National Center for Non-Engine Flight. He is also a pilot of non-engine flight since 1994, and a flight instructor since 2005, with more than 2000 hours of instruction and nearly 14,000 flights to his credit. He currently participates in the AESA working groups for the definition of the future framework of drone operations and has been a private pilot since 2008. He has published other works related to this subject such as Pilot's Manual of Sail Flight and Paragliding Instructor's Manual.
