Details
This B-3 Bomber from Cockpit USA is a new garment that is indistinguishable from 60+ years old. It features a handmade sheepskin body with full interior fur, specially treated to give the look and feel of an aged, authentic garment.
Vintage labeling, distressed leather straps, and other original features such as the US Army Air Force emblem on the left shoulder, the name of the US Air Force during WWII. They make this jacket a must-have classic.
Please note that the shearling tans to "antique" as you wear it, giving "ups and downs" in color to make it look as if you have had this jacket since WWII. This will not affect the durability of this product.

History
During World War II, the Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortress" and Consolidated B-24 "Liberator" bombers were not pressurized or heated, so at high altitudes their interior temperature dropped sharply. To try to alleviate their effects, the aviators who flew in them were protected by a special sheepskin jacket.
This jacket is a replica of the World War II B-3, famous for being worn by General George S. Patton, Steve McQueen and the Armored Divisions' tankers.
