Cockpit USA Bomber B-3 sheepskin jacket, treated to recreate the old color of the originals of the time of its creation, at the beginning of World War II.
Specifically designed to protect airmen from extreme cold during high altitude flights on thousands of bombing missions.
The leather Bomber B-3, after some modifications, was chosen by tank crews, instead of the one designed for them, for its better protection. It was used by the famous General Patton during the European campaign.
Since our items are made to order in the USA, delivery time is 2 to 4 weeks. In case it takes longer, we will inform you personally.
During World War II, the Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortress" and Consolidated B-24 "Liberator" bombers were not pressurized or heated, so at high altitudes their interior temperature dropped sharply. To try to alleviate their effects, the aviators who flew in them were protected by a special sheepskin jacket.
This jacket is a replica of the World War II B-3, famous for being worn by General George S. Patton, Steve McQueen and the Armored Divisions' tankers.
