This book aims to be a facilitator for all those who for professional reasons, learning or simple curiosity about the world of aviation are disoriented to find themselves in the field of air navigation with concepts that are strange to them and, above all, with an endless extension of abbreviations, acronyms and acronyms, most of Anglo-Saxon origin, and on the other hand do not stop growing and multiplying continuously in the constant effort to improve the relevant international bodies.

Of course, it’s impossible to list the thousands of existing acronyms, but an attempt has been made to reflect the most current and common ones, as well as others that are not aeronautical, but are related to these in the legal and economic fields, as well as a few from other areas that, being in common use, also have a current meaning for air navigation and could lead to confusion.

At the same time, the definitions of many terms and concepts have been compiled in this book so that the reader can have them within his reach, saving him from having to consult the tangle of manuals, regulations, particular rules and legislation in force that make up the documentary base of the aeronautical industry.
