The David Clark M101/AIC with amplifier is a dynamic, noise canceling type microphone. Comes with mounting screws for installation. It will not operate in circuits that supply a DC bias voltage. Most modern aviation communication systems do supply this required voltage. We strongly recommend that the master gain control located within the radio be optimized by a competent avionics technician whenever adding a new model microphone
M-101:
■ Low Impedance Position: 5 Ω nominal, sensitivity .07-.14 mV@ 103 dB SPL into 5 Ω load @ 1000 Hz.
■ High Impedance Position: 400 mV ± 6 dB @114 dB SPL 1/4”, 1000 Hz bias8-16 volts behind 470 Ω and with a 150 Ω AC input impedance.
