Connie Model

The Connie model stands out for its details, and for being an aircraft that was commercial passenger, military transport, and cargo. In addition, it was the first to be the "Air Force One" of the United States.

Elegant and powerful, the Connie broke several speed and distance records, despite frequent engine problems that led it to be jokingly called the most reliable three-engine aircraft. The elegant appearance of the aircraft was due to the fact that no two bulkheads were the same shape. A design that had long since been replaced by cheaper tubular constructions that were more resistant to pressure changes.
