Limited edition of an original variant of the A-2 Army Air Force pilot's jacket. The A-2 Flight Jacket was introduced as an official uniform in 1931 and allowed for its manufacture in goatskin, although the original specifications called for horsehide with goatskin as an alternative. The Mustang A-2 © jacket is a revised version of the iconic A-2 Flight Jacket.
Designed to look timeless with its supple vegetable tanned goatskin and former collar stand designed for added authenticity; the Mustang A-2 © jacket is the perfect accessory for the man who honors the history of iconic American fashion. Please note that each Mustang A-2 flight jacket is unique and its vegetable tanning may vary from production to production.

History
The history of the A-2 flight mustang leather jacket is legendary, and so will the tales of your adventures when you wear one! Cockpit USA is proud to offer the exclusive signature edition Mustang A-2©. The A-2 is undoubtably one of the most iconic flight jackets ever made, worn by U.S. Army Air Force pilots and aircrew in action over the skies of Europe and the Pacific during WWII. A coveted possession of those who wore them, the A-2 would break in nicely over time, distressing and developing an aged patina from wear.
We have created the Mustang A-2 jacket to give you the rugged and classic look of a finely crafted vintage jacket. Crafted from full grain vegetable tanned goatskin specially treated during the production process to give it the broken in look. Much like original A-2s of the period our Mustang A-2 jacket also features the vintage style collar stand, hook and eye collar clasps, and snap collar, and pocket fasteners.
Although vintage in appearance this jacket has been finely tailored for today’s man, for a true to size fit. Updated features include our signature applique lining, side entry, and interior wallet/phone pockets for everyday wear functionality. The Mustang A-2 jacket is perfect for a day of flying, or a classic look for a day or night on the town. The Mustang A-2 Bomber Jacket is finely crafted and made in the USA.
