W15W-50 oil is a high quality, ashless, semi-synthetic, multigrade dispersant oil developed specifically for aviation piston engines. AeroShell W15W-50 is a special blend of high quality mineral oil and synthetic hydrocarbons with an advanced additive package that has been specifically formulated for multigrade applications.
The combination of non-metallic anti-wear additives and selected high viscosity index mineral and synthetic base oils provide exceptional stability, dispersion and anti-foaming performance. AeroShell W15W-50's advanced additive package provides excellent protection for engines operating in extreme ambient temperatures. The ashless anti-wear additive package provides exceptional wear protection for camshafts, lifters and other wear surfaces.

- Promotes engine cleanliness. Non-ash-forming polymeric additive was developed to help remove harmful combustion chamber deposits that occur during normal operation.

Since AeroShell W 15W-50 oil is fully approved to SAE J-1899 and is on the appropriate Qualified Products List (QPL), there is no need to take complicated precautions when switching from similarly approved aircraft engine oils, as long as these oils are qualified products.
- Reduces fuel consumption by up to 5% over straight grade engine oils.
