Helicóptero Boeing CH-47 Chinook

The Chinook is the Spanish Army's heavy transport helicopter, operated by the Transport Helicopter Battalion V (BHELTRA V) of the Spanish Army Air Mobile Forces (FAMET).
The 17 Boeing CH-47D Chinook (HT.17) heavy transport helicopters available to the FAMET are concentrated in the BHELTRA V, located at the "Coronel Maté" Base, in Colmenar Viejo, in the north of the province of Madrid.
This unit is in charge of providing all the logistic support capabilities to the combat deployed throughout the national territory, as well as in the international missions in which the FAMET participate and have participated.
