Leatherman Rebar Multipurpose Tool

The 17 uses add replaceable wire or cable cutters for the first time on a 4-inch tool. They are intended as such, to be replaced with new ones should you eventually need to replace them. If in the distant future you should need to replace them, you can buy the replacement from the accessories page. They are very hard and sturdy, so you won't break them easily, it's just going to cost you.

The Rebar has inherited the key design points of the first multi-tool, created by Leatherman's founder, Tim Leatherman.

TOOLS INCLUDED

1. Slim-nosed pliers: For gripping or manipulating materials, designed for tight spaces or small objects.
2. Common pliers: Universal pliers.
3. Premium replaceable wire cutters: Made of 154CM steel. 154CM stainless steel with a carbon alloy holds the cutting edge up to three times longer than standard stainless steel.
4. Replaceable premium wire cutters: Made of 154CM steel with a carbon alloy, it keeps the cutting edge up to three times longer than standard stainless steel.
5. Terminal crimper: This tool allows crimping general-purpose electrical terminals.
6. Wire stripper: For stripping the cable sheath. A cable stripper suitable for different types of cable.
7. 420HC knife blade: Made of 420 HC steel, corrosion-resistant stainless steel that is easy to maintain.
8. 420HC saw blade: Made of H420HC steel, the serrated edge cuts hard materials more easily making this type of blade exceptionally useful for cutting rope or fiber.
9. Saw: Made of 420HC steel, designed to be more efficient with a pulling motion, requiring less cutting effort and preventing breakage.
10. Punch with eye for basting: You can use it to make or enlarge holes in materials such as leather or canvas. The eyelet can be used for sewing fabrics.

FUNCTIONS

01 Total locking functions

The total locking feature means that every tool and knife located in the handle body, with the exception of the pliers, will lock into place. The total lock design allows the user to use each individual tool safely and effectively. With all elements locked when fully open, the user can press down on the tool while working safely, before manually unlocking the tool for storage.

02 Rope ring

This safety ring is used to securely attach the tool to a lanyard. Often, people working near water or on scaffolding hang their tools to avoid losing them.
