Laco Original Pilot's Watches are faithful reconstructions of the iconic observer's watches, or B-Uhren, that were used in the 1940s. Laco, one of the five original manufacturers permitted to build these pilot watches according to the detailed requirements of the Reichsluftfahrtministerium (RLM), continues this legacy with the Laco SPEYER watch. While historical models had an imposing 55 mm diameter, the SPEYER offers a contemporary size of 39 mm, proportionally adapting all its components based on historical construction plans.

The Laco SPEYER retains the distinctive features that made the B-Uhren legendary:

• Iconic Dial: Features a logo-free dial, true to the original design where a logo was considered a nuisance. The dial design is in Baumuster A style, with 11 Arabic numerals and a triangle with two dots in place of the 12.
• Durable Case: The sandblasted stainless steel case prevents reflections, an essential feature for pilots. It includes the side engraving "FL 23883", an old classification number that now serves a decorative historical purpose.
• Superior Legibility: The dial and lines are covered with Superluminova C3, ensuring optimal legibility day and night, emulating the visibility of the originals.
• Distinctive Crown: Its crown is easy to grip, allowing the watch to be operated even with gloves, as required for pilots.
• Authentic Strap: Equipped with a brown calf leather strap with rivets, which, although now serving a decorative purpose thanks to the installed spring bars, evoke the straps that secured the watches to fixed bars.
